New Convent

"He must increase and I must decrease..." - John 3:30

new convent

When we first realized that God wanted us to start a new community, we had no idea how this would happen. But since this was the work of God, He provided for us. The Sisters of the Third Order of St. Francis in East Peoria took us in and let us share their home and their life for over three and a half years. We will be eternally grateful for their generosity and love.

When we first began to look for a home, we didn't even know where to start. We thought of buying a house and making it into a convent. We looked at many family houses and even a warehouse. But very soon we realized that it was impossible to buy a house for 10+ Sisters. The only other option was to build a new convent.

New Convent / Motherhouse

1209 E. Lake Avenue - Peoria Heights

On February 24, 2008 we had the blessing of the property on which our future convent would stand. A little less than a year later, on January 25, 2009 we moved into our first motherhouse at 1209 East Lake Avenue in Peoria Heights. On May 28, 2009 Bishop Daniel R. Jenky dedicated our chapel and blessed our convent. This opened a brand new chapter in the life of our community.
