Our community relies primarily on the sisters’ stipends as the regular source of income to provide for our material needs, the formation and education of the sisters, and the ever-increasing costs of healthcare.

You can help us by participating in our life and mission first and foremost through prayer. Financial gifts to the community are also much appreciated. Your gift would be used for daily living expenses, vocation promotion, and education and formation. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in the United States. All contributions are tax deductible. You can make your gift in one of the following ways:

Cash or Check: Please make checks payable to Franciscan Sisters of John the Baptist or just FSJB.  Please include your name, address and telephone number.

Gifts may be mailed to:

Franciscan Sisters of John the Baptist
1209 E Lake Ave
Peoria Heights, IL  61616

Stock: You can reduce or eliminate capital gains taxes through a gift of appreciated securities. Please complete and mail a “Letter of Intent” which includes your name, address, and phone number to make us aware of your intentions. We will then provide you with the necessary documentation and information for your broker in order to transfer the securities. If you have any questions, please call as at (309) 688-3500.

Planned Giving: Making a planned gift through a will, estate plan or another type of deferred gift such as one through an IRA or retirement fund, life insurance policy, or charitable trust gives donors opportunities to provide future support for our community as well as opportunities for short and long term tax benefits. By making a bequest in your will, you may assign any amount to the Franciscan Sisters of John the Baptist free of estate tax, designating an estate percentage or a dollar amount, with or without restrictions. Please consult with your financial advisor, accountant or attorney about structuring charitable giving in a way that best meets your philanthropic and financial goals.

Matching Gifts: Many businesses will match the charitable gift made by their employees to a non-profit organization.  Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gifts program, and if so, fill out their form and send it to us signed with your gift.

Prayers for our Benefactors

With gratitude for the generosity of our friends and benefactors, we pray for them and their intentions every day. And since the Eucharist is the perfect prayer of Thanksgiving, the best way to be thankful is to remember them at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass which is offered monthly for our friends and benefactors at St. Thomas Church in Peoria Heights.
